The reason I picked this source to upload is because it is from the master source and hasn't been EQ'ed to death by the various labels and I believe it has the best sound.  I compared it to 6 different versions of source 1 that I have and the unaltered version sounds better.

This is Zeppelin's 5th night playing in Japan on the 1972 tour and their first night back after their break (having played on four night's between 10/2 and 10/5) on this 1972 Japan tour.  They spent a few days in Hong Kong and then returned this night to play with just one more night (tomorrow) left before finishing their Japan 1972 concerts.

I'm listening to this show (again) as I prepare this post and it is very clean sounding and enjoyable.  The bootlegger did a great job of capturing the show and it is very well balanced (one reason it sounds better than the EQ'ed versions I'm sure).

I like to try and make my uploads as complete as possible.  That's why I went ahead and named the tracks rather than just upload the KRW version the way it was created in EAC (no song titles).  I believe having an actual song title to look at helps people, especially those not burning the music to discs, know which song they want to pick or listen to and/or know what song is next.

One thing of interest in this show is the location of the song "Moby Dick".  John Bonham's drum solo is usually in an earlier placement in Led Zeppelin's concerts, but since they played it on this night, they added it near the end instead of before songs like "Stairway to Heaven".  It's not out of place as far as this concert goes.  It just looks like it is when compared to most other Zeppelin shows they played it in through the years.

I was looking for a ticket scan to add for some artwork and came across one with no English written date (or a very confusing one).  If you don't already know this, Zeppelin played Osaka in 1972 on October 4th and October 9th which is this show.  But this ticket, even in comparison with other Tokyo 1972 tickets, looks like it would have been for 1972-10-01.  And that makes no sense because they played nowhere on that date.  Who knows?  Maybe Japanese tickets showed the date the ticket was purchased or maybe what I'm looking at isn't even the date?  Since I cannot read Japanese, as you'll hear Plant sing in "Over The Hills and Far Away", "I really don't know"!  Either way, the image below is suppose to be from one of the two Osaka shows!

I hope you enjoy this show from 41 years ago today...
