Led Zeppelin: 1977-05-21 Houston, TX (FLAC_SB Remaster_3 CD)

This is a superb sounding soundboard of Led Zeppelin's 1977 Houston show.  This is the Bertha Remastered version and the best version I have heard so far.  I'd earlier thought the 4-Eyed Freak remastered version was the best, but after listening to this Bertha Remaster show last night, I realized this is a cleaner, sharper, and more well balanced mix.  There are a few remastered versions out there as well as a few different titled versions too.

When I uploaded the previous version a few days ago, I said the Bertha Remaster version sounded great but it wasn't as vibrant or "atmospheric" sounding to me.  I've since determined the "vibrancy" and "atmospheric" sound leads to possible clipping of the audio in some places as well as distortion.  I've already said both version are great, and they are too.  But the Bertha Remaster version is the better of the two in my opinion and it was remastered using a specially built machine for doing so by a group that really knows what they're doing.

Read the 4-Eyed Freak remaster post a few uploads prior to this one if you want more information

Below is a partial copy of the original text file details from the Bertha Remaster share of this show.  It has some interesting details in it you may want to read.

Digitally remastered using a custom built, Dual-DAW, nicknamed Bertha, by jashley@eadacated.com. Completed july 30, 2005.

The original source is from a monitor mix with a very narrow stereo channel. The narrow stereo effect is common to monitor or house mixes.

The original source has audio level compression applied, as well as noise reduction.  Both were done well and did not result in any noticeable artifacts.

Even though it doesn't seem there was ever any artwork made up for the Bertha Remaster, it is a remaster of Emress Vally Supreme Disc's "The Dragon Snake" and I'm including the EVSD artwork in the upload.

Enjoy the show...
